Hi again,

here is the update for 15th February for the local area, thanks to Alan Whitehouse for the records.

 

Wombwell Ings

Present were 2 Mute Swan, 5 Canada Geese, 4 Shelduck, 169 Wigeon, 42 Teal, 19 Gadwall, 17 Mallard, 11 Shoveler. 3 Tufted Duck, 2 Goosander, 1 Pochard. 1 Little Egret, 11 Coot, 5 Moorhen, 1 Kestrel, 180+ Golden Plover, 10 Lapwing, 52 BH Gull, 2 Common Gull, 8+Skylark, 1 Song Thrush, c20 Linnet, 12 Yellowhammer and 5 Reed Bunting.

Bolton Ings

On the open water were 2 Mute Swan, 35 Canada Geese, 22 Tufted Duck, 9 Gadwall, 6 Goldeneye, 5 Pochard, 4 Mallard, 2 Shoveler, 1 Great Crested Grebe,  2 Cormorant, 198 Coot, 16 BH Gull and 9 Common Gull. Also present were 2 Heron, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Jay, 3 Song Thrush,2 Mistle Thrush and 2 Willow Tit.
