Hi Guys, the weather hasn’t been too bad today although not been out to bird but skies are clear so going to have a few hours sat out. No chance of decent astro imaging as the moon is about 53% so will get over exposed. 

Here are the sightings for the day via Alan Whitehouse.

 

Broomhill Flash

Noted were 2 Mute Swan, 46 Canada Geese, 60 Wigeon, 36 Shoveler, 19 Teal, 11 Tufted Duck, 8 Pochard, 8 Mallard, 1m Goldeneye, 4 Gadwall, 2 Little Grebe, 2 Cormorant, 27 Coot, 5 Moorhen and 201 BH Gull.

Bolton Ings

On the open water were 2 Mute Swan, 20 Tufted Duck, 8 Pochard, 5 Mallard, 5 Wigeon, 4 Goldeneye, 3 Gadwall, 2 Goosander, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Little Grebe, 135 Coot, 107 BH Gull and 2 Common Gull. Also present were 8 Canada Geese, 4 Greylag, 25 Cormorant, 1 Buzzard, 22 Lapwing over, 1 Jay, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Willow Tit and 2 Reed Bunting.
Wombwell Ings

A mid-afternoon visit listed 3 Mute Swan, 109 Canada Geese, 8 Greylag, 4 Shelduck, 129 Wigeon, 19 Teal, 18 Mallard, 12 Tufted Duck, 10 Goosander, 5 Shoveler, 4 Pochard, 3 Gadwall, 4 Grey Heron, 13 Coot, 4 Moorhen, 14 Lapwing, c50 Golden Plover, 158 BH Gull, 1 Common Gull, 3 Skylark and 2 Pied Wagtail.
