Broomhill Birder

Hi All,

the day started off nice and sunny but ended off even better with 17 Kittiwake flying over Broomhill Flash just as I was locking the gates!  AAAhhhh Bisto!

Anyway here are the counts for Broomhill Flash and a quick summary for Worsborough Reservoir for 15th March.

 

Broomhill Flash.

 

Little Egret 1.

 

Gadwall 4,

Teal 2,

Shovelor 2,

Wigeon 4,

Goldeneye 1 (drake),

Shelduck 3,

Tufted Duck 17,

Mallard 4+,

Mute Swan 2,

Canada Goose 80+,

Kittiwake 17.

 

Red-legged Partridge 3,

Grey Partridge 2,

Kestrel 2,

Little Owl 1,

Brown Hare 1.

 

Worsborough.

 

Mallard 12,

Great Crested Grebe 3,

Tufted Duck 2,

Water Rail 2.

 

Also Nuthatch, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Coal Tit, Robin and Wren were in good numbers.  Also the Lesser Spotted Woodpecker was showing today, especially if you went the right way!  Dooh!
