Hi All,
a bit of a dull start this morning and quite a bit cooler but one or two waders in the area never the less. Broomhill Flash this moring had 1 Greenshank, 12 Snipe, 2 Green Sandpiper, 2 Common Sandpiper, 1 Grey Heron and a Curlew which was heard call from near cathill.
The waterfowl were 64 Mallard, 15 Tufted Duck, 2 Shovelor, 5 Teal, 28 Gadwall, 6 Little Grebe, 2 Cormorant and a Lessor Blackbacked Gull.
Also c10 Swallow, 1 Willow Warbler calling in car park, Chiffchaff calling from near Broomhill Park and a Yellow Wagtail juvenile.
Raptors were Marsh Harrier cream crown 7.57 flew straight towards hide then did a u turn and disappeared in corn field towards Wombwell Ings also 1 Sparrowhawk and 1 Kestrel. CLICK TO ENLARGE IMAGES!
Also did Bolton Ings this morning were we had 2 Great Crested Grebe , 13 Cormorant , c20 Tufted Duck, C50 Mallard & Gadwall.
Also 8 Swift, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Greater Spotted Woodpecker and 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrel.
