Hi All,

another trip to Gibraltar Point on 18th June in Lincolnshire this week but no real rarities as to speak although did pick up a Green Woodpecker which is a new bird for the reserve according to Kevin the Head Warden.  Anyway here are the sightings for the reserve.

 

Tennyson sand hide. 

 

Chiffchaff 2,

Cuckoo 1,

Greater Spotted Woodpecker 1,

Green Woodpecker 1,

Grey Heron 1,

Little Egret 1,

Avocet 7 + 3 young,

Tufted Duck 14,

Mallard 10,

Shelduck 2,

Gadwall 1,

Common Tern 2 (sat on eggs).

 

Tennyson Sands (Fenella Hope hide).

 

Shelduck 2 + 2 duckling,

Avocet 1,

Gadwall 1,

Mallard 7.

 

Mere Hide.

 

Mute Swan 2,

Shelduck 2,

Mallard 3,

Yellowhammer 1,

Sedge Warbler 3,

Reed Warbler 1.

 

Jackson’s Hide.

 

Oystercatcher 1,

Redshank 9,

Lapwing 12,

Little Egret 3,

Curlew 1,

Avocet 7,

Shelduck 15,

Mallard 58,

Tufted Duck 16,

Gadwall 3,

Teal 10.
