Broomhill Birder

Hi everyone,

well as promised we had some rain which did make the air quality far better than the last few days with the dust blowing in from the south and as a result my sore throat wasn’t half as bad.  To which we had a walk onto Wombwell Ings and as usual Broomhill Flash.

 

Todays sightings for the 4th April are as follows:-

 

Broomhill Flash.

 

Redshank 2,

Curlew 1 (fly through),

Woodcock flew over eastern end of reserve and headed towards Broomhill Village / Oldmoor.

Tufted Duck 20 + another 16 in the afternoon,

Gadwall 4,

Little Grebe 3,

Cormorant 1,

Mute Swan 2,

Mallard 4+,

Teal 2,

Wigeon 18,
