Broomhill Birder

Hi everyone,

hope the weather was better today where you were than the dismal dull drizzly damp weather we’ve had the last couple of days? We did manage Broomhill Flash and Bolton Ings though so here are the sightings for 27th November.

 

A walk on the TPT to Bolton Ings didn’t produce anything on the way on but did produce 20+ Redpoll on the way off.

 

Broomhill Flash.

Grey Heron 1, Dunlin 2, Golden Plover 1+, Teal 17, Wigeon 10, Pochard 5, Tufted Duck 5, Mallard 20, Shoveler 6, Gadwall 3, Little Owl 1, Mute Swan 1 juvenile, Lapwing c52, Black-headed Gull c79, Kingfisher 1, Common Gull 2.

 

Bolton Ings.

Tufted Duck 45, Pochard 13, Great-crested Grebe 5, Little Grebe 3, Grey Heron 2, Mallard 4, Gadwall 4, Goosander 4 (2 pair), Common Gull 27, Mute Swan 4 ( 2 adult & 2 juvenile), Teal 3, Wigeon 4, Snipe 10, Cormorant 4, Green Woodpecker 1 (TPT Calling), Greater Spotted Woodpecker 1. Herring Gull 5, Lesser Black-backed Gull 2.
