Hi again,

a very unsettled day today Saturday 28th November with strong gusts and heavy rain late afternoon early evening. No reports as yet for today but here’s yesterdays from Alan Whitehouse via Barnsley BSG.

 

27th November Wombwell Ings

Present were 3 Mute Swan, 217 Canada Geese, 17 Greylag, 47+ Wigeon, 13 Tufted Duck, 9 Mallard, 8 Teal, 7 Shoveler, 3 Grey Heron, 2 Cormorant, 15 Coot, 23 Moorhen, 1 Kestrel, 27 Lapwing, 3 Snipe, 72 BH Gull, 1 Common Gull, 10+ Redwing and 4 Pied Wagtail.

Bolton Ings

On the open water were 4+3y Mute Swan, 53 Pochard, 37 Tufted Duck, 18 Mallard, 15 Gadwall, 10 Shoveler, 2 Goldeneye, 4 Little Grebe, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 103 Coot, 26 BH Gull and 26 Common Gull. Also present were 2 Cormorant, 2 Grey Heron, 5 Moorhen, 2 Green Sandpiper and 2 Green Woodpecker.
