Hi everyone,

there was no news for yesterday as Alan Whitehouse didn’t get out but here are todays sightings from him for today 8th March.

 

Wombwell Ings

Present were 1 Mute Swan, 93 Canada Geese, 1 Shelduck, 127 Wigeon, 19 Teal, 14 Gadwall, 8 Mallard, 4 Tufted Duck, 2 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 9 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 46 Lapwing, 7 Golden Plover, 204 BH Gull, 1 Common Gull, 1 Kestrel, 1 Song Thrush, 3 Skylark and 7 Pied Wagtail.

Bolton Ings

On the open water were 3 Mute Swan, 7 Greylag, 23 Tufted Duck, 12m+5f Pochard, 1m+4f Goldeneye, 4 Gadwall, 3 Shoveler, 2 Teal, 1 Mallard, 6 Little Grebe, 4 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Cormorant, 101 Coot, 181 BH Gull, 3 Common Gull and 1 LBB Gull. Also present were, 6 Canada Geese, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Lapwing and 2 Willow Tit.
