Broomhill Birder

Hi everyone,

well the weather has certainly changed this last week or so with high winds, rain and sleet and snow on the hills. There are a few migrants coming in with a few Waxwings seen as well as Pink-footed Geese and Whooper Swans being seen regularly.  This is the weeks roundup for Broomhill Flash Nature Reserve.

 

Monday 14th November.

Buzzard 1, Green Sandpiper 1, Little Egret 1, Snipe 5+, Goldeneye 1♂, Mute Swan 2, Shoveler 45+.

 

Tuesday 15th November.

Mute Swan 2, Goldeneye 1♂, Shoveler 80+, Buzzard 1, Pochard 2, Dunlin 1, Golden Plover 40+, Little Egret 1, Grey Heron 2,Redwing c100, Fieldfare c220, Cormorant 9.

 

Wednesday 16th November.

Mute Swan 2, Pochard 1♂, Shoveler 85, Goldeneye 1♂, Grey Heron 2, Wigeon 2, Dunlin 2, Green Sandpiper 1, Buzzard 1.

 

Thursday 17th November.

Mute Swan 5, Pochard 2♂, Goldeneye 1♂, Dunlin 2, Little Egret 1, Shoveler 81, Buzzard 2, Lesser black-backed Gull 1, Wigeon 3, Golden Plover c145, Pintail Duck 1♀, Peregrine Falcon 1♂, Red-legged Partridge 5.

 

Friday 18th November.

Mute Swan 2, Shoveler 81, Pochard 4 (3♂), Wigeon 6, Goldeneye 1♂, Dunlin 1, Golden Plover 80+, Pintail Duck 1♀, Little Egret 2, Grey Wagtail  1, Goosander 1♀, Wood Pigeon 400+.
